The board will also hold an Impact Aid meeting. The meetings will be held at Eagle View Elementary in the auditorium.

The work session begins at 3:30 p.m. The Impact Aid meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. The business meeting begins at 7 p.m. Agendas for the meetings can be found here: https://go.boarddocs.com/ut/uintah/Board.nsf/Public.

During its business meeting, the board will recognize the district’s students of the month for March. They are Jayde Wolfe (Ashley Elementary); Rhett McConnel (Davis Elementary); Ellie Anderson (Discovery Elementary); Sol Checora (Eagle View Elementary); Brintlee Foley (Lapoint Elementary); Noah Cruz (Maeser Elementary); Ruger Floyd (Naples Elementary); Tommy Cruz IV (Uintah Middle School); Dallen Lemon (Vernal Middle School); Caleb Sivert (Uintah High School); and Jordan Mitchell (Ashley Valley Education Center/Uintah Online).

Central Cove Preschool’s waiting list for the 2021-2022 school year is open. Tuition for 3-year-olds is $95 per month. Tuition for 4-year-olds is $165 per month. The registration fee is $25. Please contact Central Cove at 435-781-3125 for more information.

Congratulations to Uintah High’s DECA Club for their outstanding showing at state last week. They had 33 students compete this year in role play, individual projects, group projects, and chapter projects. The following Uintah High students qualified to compete at the International Career Development Conference: Kelsey Alexander, Bryson Allan, Bailee Allred, Kenadee Allred, Eden Bingham, Ashlyn Coxson, Trae Elison, Gabe Elison, Ellie Hartman, Quinten James, Beau Lamb, Wen Lee, Sydney Migliori, Marcy Reynolds, Reagan Smith, Josslyn Spencer, Makayla Wilkey, and Lily Wilson.

Congratulations to Uintah High's Jazz Band as well. They received superior and excellent ratings from the judges at Thursday's region competition in Ogden and are now headed to state. "This was the best I've ever heard them play," UHS band director Brian Gibson said.

Finally, it's opening night for Uintah High Theatre’s production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. This fun-filled musical comedy tells the story of a fictional spelling bee that has six quirky adolescent competitors and is run by three equally quirky grown-ups. The show runs March 5-6, March 8-9, March 11-13. All performances start at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at https://uintah.ludus.com/index.php.
