This is the image for the news article titled Weekly District Update - Feb. 5, 2021Second trimester ends Feb. 26, which will be here before we know it. Parents/guardians who want to transfer their student from Uintah Online to a "brick-and-mortar" school for third trimester need to contact both Uintah Online and the school they want their student to transfer to by Friday, Feb. 12, to discuss their student's transfer options.

On Wednesday, Feb. 10, the Uintah School Board will hold its regularly scheduled work session and business meeting. The work session will begin at 4 p.m., with the business meeting following at 6 p.m.

Both meetings will be held in the auditorium at Vernal Middle School. Those who wish to attend in person should practice physical distancing. Masks are required inside the school.

The agendas for the work session and business meeting can be found here: https://go.boarddocs.com/ut/uintah/Board.nsf/Public.

Both meetings will be live streamed on the district’s YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/riHDOFMa_78. Public input may be provided at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MVLKQ6M.

During the business meeting, the school board will celebrate the district’s students of the month for February. Those students are Tobi Howcroft (Ashley Elementary); McCollie Massey (Davis Elementary); Parker Stewart (Discovery Elementary); Katie Pena (Eagle View Elementary); Santiago Perry (Lapoint Elementary); Aubrey Mansfield (Maeser Elementary); Braxton Smith (Naples Elementary); Justin Christensen (Uintah Middle School); Kaysen Morrell (Vernal Middle School); Tateleigh Munoz (Uintah High School); and Liora Hancock (Ashley Valley Education Center/Uintah Online). Congratulations to these outstanding students!

Good luck this weekend to the Uintah High wrestlers competing at divisionals, which are being held today and tomorrow at Western Park. Also, good luck to the Uintah U’ettes as they compete at state next week.

Have a great weekend!
