This is the image for the news article titled Weekly District Update - April 23, 2021Beginning Monday, April 26, the Uintah School District Speech & Hearing Program will be completing district-wide hearing screenings for all kindergarten and first grade students.

Parents/guardians will be notified if their student fails both the initial screening and the recheck. You will not be contacted if your child has normal hearing. Results will be placed in all permanent files.

If you have questions or do NOT want your child's hearing screened, please contact the administrator at your child’s school.

The Uintah School Board will hold a special work session on Wednesday, April 28, at the district office to work on development of USD’s strategic plan. The meeting will be streamed live on the district’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8C8M-xsJHg.

The deadline to submit artwork for possible display in the new district office has been extended to May 14. The district is looking for artwork from current and former students in all 2D mediums. Pieces need to be at least 12”x18” and will be on loan to the district for 3 to 4 years before being rotated out.

All submitted artwork will be reviewed by the district's Art Selection Committee and artists will be notified of selections. Please contact district Arts Coordinator Lynna Kendall at [email protected] or 435-781-3100, ext.1014, for more information.

Good luck this weekend to Uintah High’s boys tennis team and the UHS boys and girls track and field teams. The tennis team is hosting five other schools today and tomorrow at the Uintah Invitational. Matches start at 8 a.m. both days and go into early evening. Track and field travels to Ogden on Saturday.
