During its business meeting, the board celebrated the district’s students of the month for January 2024. The students of the month are Kanyon Eldredge (Central Cove Preschool); Kai Woods (Ashley Elementary); Kinley Richard (Davis Elementary); Xalix Jackson (Discovery Elementary); Korelle Jenkins (Eagle View Elementary); Lily Ponce (Lapoint Elementary); Kooper Kunkel (Maeser Elementary); Heston Hazelbush (Naples Elementary); Andree Rios Guzman (Uintah Middle School); Page Liebhardt (Vernal Middle School); Kyrstin Dixon (Uintah High School); and Austin Hunter and Gabriel Hunter (Ashley Valley Education Center/Uintah Online).

The board also celebrated Uintah High senior Breanna Helm, who will be playing the tuba next week with the Utah All-State High School Band at Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City. This is third consecutive year Helm has been selected for the All-State Band. It is rare that a student is selected more than once for the ensemble, Uintah High Band Director Brian Gibson said.

Congratulations to these outstanding students and to everyone who supports them!
