This is the image for the news article titled Boundary change info for 2021-22 school yearThe guidelines for applying for boundary change requests, based on Uintah School District Policy 007.0115, are as follows:

• Applications for the 2021-2022 school year should be made prior to Feb. 19, 2021.

• Before students are admitted from an out-of-boundary area, all signatures must be obtained on the boundary change form and all parties must be in agreement. Forms may be obtained at any school in Uintah School District or at the District Office, 635 W. 200 South, Vernal, or online by clicking HERE.

• Submit the completed form to the Student Services Director at the school district office.

• Parents applying during this window will be notified in writing by March 31 of acceptance or rejection.

• Once enrolled, the student shall be permitted to remain enrolled in the school without filing renewal applications until the student moves up to another school.

• All decisions will be based on a first-come, first-serve policy, depending on class size, staff availability, and student conduct.

• The commitment to attend a non-resident district or school is for the full school year and is not reversible.

• Transfers are granted on an individual basis. Parents must make an application for each student as an enrollment guarantee for siblings is not implied.

• Special education students are treated the same as regular education students, on a case-by-case basis. If a student is in need of a special education program located in a school other than the one the student is assigned to, as determined by an IEP, then that need prevails.

• Transportation to and from the requested school is the responsibility of the parent/guardian of the student, unless space is available on a bus without altering the bus route.

Any student residing in Uintah County in grades 9-12 may attend Uintah High School.
