Friday Bus Route Changes

There have been a few changes to Friday bus times due to the addition or removal of stops. These changes are for Bus 33 and Bus 61 serving Ashley Elementary; Bus 95 serving Davis Elementary; and Bus 26 serving Maeser Elementary.

On Fridays, posted pickup and drop off times may vary based on the number of riders. Please arrive at your stop 5 minutes ahead of the posted time to ensure you don't miss the bus.

Friday schedules for secondary buses show pickup and drop off times. Elementary school pick up times are the same on Friday as they are the rest of the week.

All Friday bus schedules can be found at https://www.uintah.net/departments/transportation/friday_bus_schedules.

Banking Change

Zions Bank has informed the district that checks made out to individual schools will no longer be accepted. Moving forward, all checks should be made out to Uintah School District. This includes payments made by check for school meals, fees, and fundraisers.

UHS Students Donate ‘Joy Jars’

During Uintah High’s annual charity Quarter Roll on Dec. 21, students participated in a service project, creating Joy Jars with 9th Grade ELA teachers Kristen Baumgarten, Jana Bingham, and Kaylee Butler.

Joy Jars are small plastic jars that contain an encouraging note from a student, a small stuffed animal, a small car, a key chain, and a few stickers. They were donated to Uintah Basin Healthcare to be given to children who have to stay the night at the hospital.

Uintah High students helped make 238 Joy Jars in 45 minutes and definitely found joy participating in the project!

UMS Teams Serve Local Seniors

The boys and girls basketball teams from Uintah Middle School went to the Golden Age Center in late December to load and deliver groceries and presents to elderly members of the community. Go Hawks!

EVE Students, Staff Reach Reading Goal

Students and staff members at Eagle View Elementary read for 58,000 minutes in two weeks! The goal was announced during a Dec. 6 assembly when the fictional characters from the animated movie The Bad Guys “stole” an eagle statue and told students they wouldn’t give it back until the school read for at least 50,000 minutes. The students and staff exceeded the goal, earning back their statue and a Pajama Day assembly on Dec. 21, where they got to watch The Bad Guys. Great job, Eagles!
