Currently the district only has about 60 active substitute teachers on its roster, after hiring at least 10 substitutes to fill various part-time and full-time positions this school year. The district would like to have more than 80 substitute teachers on its rolls to accommodate teachers who must miss work due to training, illness, or other reasons.

Those interested in becoming a substitute teacher should apply at https://bit.ly/USD_SubstituteApplication. Prospective substitute teachers must attend the 4-hour Basic Substitute Course offered by UBTECH before they are eligible to substitute teach for Uintah School District. Starting pay for substitute teachers ranges from $85 per day to $115 per day depending on educational history and transcripts.
