Celebrations

Congratulations to Paisley Harlan! Her painting, "The Warning," was selected to represent the state of Utah in the Celebrate the West art competition hosted by the Western Governors' Association. Paisley drew inspiration for the painting from a photo her grandfather took after tracking and treeing a mountain lion in the western backcountry. Voting is open now for the contest's People's Choice Award. You can cast your vote at https://foundation.westgov.org/celebrate-the-west.

Congratulations as well to all the readers at Uintah High School! As of May 19, the Utes had read a combined 1,330,000 minutes this school year, according to their Beanstack community minutes. The top readers by grade were Sam Hirschi (9th), Sophia Olson (10th), Abbygail Morrison (11th), and Georgie Coughran (12th), with Rachelle Durrant claiming the top spot for UHS faculty and staff. Meanwhile, freshman David Pierce led all UHS students in checking out books from the library with 482.
