Weekly District Update graphic

A Uintah School District employee and a member of the Uintah School Board were recognized last weekend by the Utah School Employees Association at its annual awards banquet. Discovery Elementary head custodian Aubrey McCarrel was named USEA’s Education Support Professional of the Year in the Custodial Services category. He was also selected as USEA’s Education Support Professional of the Year for the state, meaning he will serve as Utah’s candidate for the National Education Association’s Education Support Professional of the Year Award.

Uintah School Board member Robin McClellan was recognized by USEA with its Honorary Award. The award recognizes individuals who have shown exceptional support for and dedication to education support professionals (ESPs). It is presented annually to someone outside the ESP community and to non-members of USEA who demonstrate outstanding commitment to supporting ESPs and advancing their role in public education and student success.

Congratulations to both Aubrey and Robin on this well-deserved recognition!

UHS Senior Calendar

Uintah High School has posted a calendar of deadlines and events for the Class of 2026 in three places:

1.        At https://tinyurl.com/uhs2026seniorcal

2.        On the UHS website under the NEWS section

3.        In every senior’s Senior Canvas class under the ā€œGraduationā€ link

If you have a senior at Uintah High, please take a few moments to review the calendar carefully so you don’t miss any important deadlines, activities, or celebrations. There will also be a meeting for UHS seniors on Tuesday, May 12, at 10:40 a.m. in the auditorium to go over all activities and expectations for May and graduation. It’s important for seniors to attend. Following the meeting, students will have the opportunity to participate in the ā€œIt’s Getting Realā€ Career Fair and the school’s Senior Decision Day Party to celebrate their plans after high school.
