The state of Utah has asked the district to notify our school community that Sun Bucks won't be available this summer. This doesn't affect free Summer Lunch, which is a separate program.
The Sun Bucks program, also known as Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer of Summer EBT, provides qualifying families with $120 in grocery benefits per eligible school-age child when school is out for summer. SUN Bucks can be used to purchase food from authorized retailers in participating states.
The Utah Department of Workforce Services is working to secure state funding for the Sun Bucks program for the summer of 2027. Individuals with questions about SUN Bucks (Summer EBT) should visit https://jobs.utah.gov/customereducation/services/sebt/index.html.
