TCHD Vaccine Clinic at Central Cove
TriCounty Health Department is hosting a vaccine clinic at Central Cove Early Learning Center on Tuesday, April 14, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The clinic serves incoming kindergarteners and children who need vaccines to meet school requirements, including second MMR doses. Free and reduced cost are available for those who qualify. Most private insurance options are available. Parental consent is required for all vaccinations.
Due to the measles outbreak in our community, the Utah Department of Health and Human Services now recommends that children ages 3ā5 who have already received one MMR dose get their second dose early, rather than waiting until kindergarten. An early second dose still counts as on schedule, even if given before age 4. Please speak with your child's healthcare provider if you have questions about early vaccination. You can also visit the stateās website for additional guidance for protecting children under 1 from measles.
