The Uintah Schools Foundation will hold the 2026 State of the District on Tuesday, Feb. 3, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Uintah Conference Center. The foundation’s annual event will feature the presentation of its Teachers in Excellence Award, as well as a district update by USD Superintendent Dr. Rick Woodford and performances by Uintah High School students. Student artwork from around the district will also be on display.

The community is invited to attend this free event. 

UHS 9th Annual Jazz Dinner

Tickets are on sale now for the 9th Annual Jazz Dinner, featuring music by Uintah High’s jazz band, Pandemonium. Frozen Tickets on Sale

Tickets for the Uintah High Theatre production of Frozen: The Musical are on sale now at uintah.ludus.com. The musical is an adaption of the Disney animated hit and features Princess Elsa, Princess Anna, Kristoff, Sven, Olaf and all the other fan favorites. Performances are set for March 6-7, 9-10, and 12-4. There will be a matinee performance on March 7 that will include ASL interpreters, as well as an evening performance that night. Show times for all evening performances is 7 p.m. Tickets for this show are expected to go fast, so get yours today!

Weekend Events

Members of the Uintah High Robotics Club are competing at the 3rd Annual Rumble in the Rockies today and tomorrow. The competition, which is being held at the Utah State Fairpark in Salt Lake City, features more than 100 robotics teams from across the United States. Qualification matches began this afternoon, with the division and event finals scheduled to take place tomorrow.

The Uintah High Girls Basketball Team and the Uintah High Boys Basketball Team host the Mountain View High Bruins today for region games at UHS. The girls play at 3:30 p.m. (JV), 5:15 p.m. (varsity), and 7 p.m. (sophomores). The boys play at 3:30 p.m. (JV), 5:15 p.m. (sophomores), and 7 p.m. (varsity). Tickets can be purchased in advance at https://gofan.co or at the door, where cash is accepted. Both varsity games will be streamed live on the Uintah High Hudl Fan site.

The Uintah High Swim Team is competing today and tomorrow at the Region 8 Championships. Races are scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. each day at the Wasatch Aquatic Center in Heber City.

The Uintah High Boys Wrestling Team is competing today and tomorrow at the 4A Division A tournament at Mountain View High School in Orem. Today’s matches began at 1 p.m. Tomorrow’s matches are set to start at 10:30 a.m. The tournament will determine which wrestlers qualify for the 4A State Tournament in February.
