The Uintah School Board will hold a regularly scheduled work session and business meeting on Wednesday at the district office in Naples. The work session will start at 4 p.m., with the business meeting to begin at 6 p.m.
Agendas for both meetings are available at https://uintah.community.highbond.com/Portal/. The district intends to stream the work session and business meeting on its YouTube channel. UHS Band Christmas Concert
The Uintah High Band program will hold its Christmas Concert, “(Not So) Silent Night” on Wednesday in the UHS auditorium. The concert begins at 7 p.m. and features performances by the Concert Band, Orchestra, Pandemonium (Jazz Band), and Percussion. Admission is FREE. The concert will also be streamed live on the Uintah Bands Facebook page.
Minimum School Day – Dec. 23
Tuesday, Dec. 23, is the final school day of 2025. All USD schools will follow the district’s Minimum School Day schedule that day. Information about start and release times on Dec. 23 can be found on the district website.
Weekend Events
The Uintah High Girls Basketball Team hosts the Judge Memorial High Bulldogs tonight at UHS. Freshmen play at 3:30 p.m., followed by the sophomore and JV games at 5:15 p.m. The varsity game tips off at 7 p.m. Advance tickets can be purchased at https://gofan.co. Tickets will also be sold at the door, where cash is accepted. The varsity game will be streamed live on the Uintah High Hudl Fan website.
The Uintah High Boys Basketball Team is on the road, playing in the Bear River Winter Classic in Box Elder County. Today, the Utes play Northridge High (sophomores – 3:30 p.m., freshmen – 5 p.m., JV – p.m., varsity – 6:30 p.m.) Tomorrow, the Utes play Canyon View High (freshmen – 10 a.m., sophomores – 10 a.m., JV – 11:30 a.m., varsity – 4 p.m.) The varsity games will be streamed live on the Uintah High Hudl Fan website.
The Uintah High Boys Wrestling Team and Uintah High Girls Wrestling Team are both in Layton this weekend. The boys are competing in the Layton Invitational Tournament at Layton High. The girls are competing in the Knight Time Matness Tournament at Northridge High. Both tournaments got underway this afternoon and continue through Saturday night.
The Uintah U’ettes are competing at the Mustang Classic at Herriman High this weekend. Six U’ettes are scheduled to perform in the solo competition tonight. Tomorrow, the team is set to perform at 2:31 p.m. (Pom), 3:11 p.m. (Military), 3:40 p.m. (Dance), and 4:31 p.m. (Show).
The Uintah High Cheer and Stunt Team is also on the Wasatch Front tomorrow for their first competition of the season. The Utes are scheduled to perform in the USA Utah Regional I competition at Bountiful High School at 8:52 a.m., 11:56 a.m., and 4:04 p.m. Tickets are available at https://www.showclix.com/event/usa-utah-regional-i24zndywmp. Doors open at Bountiful High at 7 a.m.
And finally, two teams from the Uintah High Robotics Club are competing in the Wobble at Wasatch tomorrow at Wasatch High School in Heber City. Qualification matches are scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m.
