The Uintah School Board held its regularly scheduled work session and business meeting on Wednesday. Video of the work session and business meeting can be found on the district’s YouTube channel.

Uintah High FCCLA members Addilyn Foley and Ashley Caldwell were recognized by the board during its business meeting for their performances at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference. Addilyn competed in the Early Childhood Education STAR Event and achieved a gold medal while also placing 2nd in the nation in recognition of her outstanding performance. Ashley competed in the Fashion Construction STAR Event and achieved a remarkable silver medal in recognition of her outstanding performance.

The board also celebrated the district’s students of the month for October during Wednesday’s meeting. The students are Elliana Hatch (Central Cove); Kaylee Saenz (Ashley Elementary); Lexus Beacham (Davis Elementary); Hughston Oldaker (Discovery Elementary); Sarah Nielsen (Eagle View Elementary); Ruby Allred (Lapoint Elementary); Autumn Downard (Maeser Elementary); Clara Rehbein (Naples Elementary); Nevaeh Taylor (Uintah Middle School); Zenna Rodarte (Vernal Middle School); Brynadee Deets (Uintah High School); and ShayLee Griffin (Ashley Valley Education Center/Uintah Online).

Congratulations to all these outstanding students and thanks to everyone who supports them!

Fall Break 2025

There will be No School from Wednesday, Oct. 15, through Friday, Oct. 17. The district office and all district buildings will be closed Friday, Oct. 17. Classes will resume and district buildings will reopen on Monday, Oct. 20.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

Tickets are on sale for Uintah High Theatre’s production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Set 19 years after Hogwarts, the play follows Harry’s son, Albus, who struggles with his family legacy and befriends Scorpius Malfoy. When the boys use a Time-Turner to change the past, they create dangerous alternate realities and must work together to set things right. The play will run Oct. 24-25 and Oct. 27-30, with showtimes at 7 p.m. each night. For tickets, visit uintah.ludus.com.

Weekend Events

The Uintah High Football Team faces off against the Bulldogs at Provo High School tonight. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. The game will be streamed live on the Provo High Hudl Fan site.

The Uintah High Marching Band and Color Guard will compete tomorrow at the Wasatch Front Invitational at Riverton High School. The competition starts at 10:30 a.m. The Utes are scheduled to take the field at 3:30 p.m. For tickets, visit the Riverton High’s GoFan page.
