The Uintah School Board will hold a regularly schedule work session and business meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at the district office in Naples. The work session will begin at 4 p.m. The business meeting is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. Agendas for both meetings will be posted in advance on the district website, www.uintah.net, under the School Board tab.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
Tickets are on sale for Uintah High Theatreās production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Set 19 years after Hogwarts, the play follows Harryās son, Albus, who struggles with his family legacy and befriends Scorpius Malfoy. When the boys use a Time-Turner to change the past, they create dangerous alternate realities and must work together to set things right. The play will run Oct. 24-25 and Oct. 27-30, with showtimes at 7 p.m. each night. For tickets, visit uintah.ludus.com.
Celebrations
Congratulations to the Uintah High Boys Golf Team! They won the Region 8 Championship this week and had three golfers place in the Top 10 individually. Eastyn Ewell finished 1st as an individual in Region 8, Korver Hawkins finished 2nd, and Sutton Harris finished 10th. The Utes are preparing for the 4A State Tournament, which is set for Oct. 8-9 at Lakeside Golf Course in West Bountiful.
Weekend Events
Four Uintah High Girls Tennis players are competing in the 4A State Tournament today at the Liberty Park Tennis Center in Salt Lake City. Sophia Pope and Hailey Rasmussen (1st doubles) and Elle Hawkes and Becca Williams (2nd doubles) advanced to the Round of 16 by winning their first-round matches on Thursday. Play was delayed by rain earlier today and is just getting underway. Todayās winners advance to the quarterfinals.
The Uintah High Cross Country Team is competing in the Region 8 Championships today at Mountain View High in Orem. Races are scheduled to get underway at 3 p.m.
The Uintah High Football Team faces off against the Salem Hills Skyhawks tonight at Coach Belcher Stadium. The FREE community-sponsored tailgate starts at 5:15 p.m. in the stadium parking lot. It ends at 6:15 p.m. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Fans can purchase tickets in advance at http://gofan.co, or buy tickets at the gate, which opens at 6 p.m.
The Uintah High Marching Band and Color Guard will compete tomorrow at the Bridgerland Band Invitational at Maverik Stadium on the Utah State University campus in Logan.
