USBE Parent Portal
School districts are required by state law to notify parents/guardians and staff about the Utah State Board of Education Parent Portal. The portal outlines the basic structure of Utahās public education system, some of the rights parents/guardians have in the direction of their childrenās education, and opportunities to engage with and support schools at the state and local level.
USBE and the Uintah School District welcome and encourage the participation of parents/guardians and community members from all backgrounds. The parent portal is available in multiple languages, and USBE offers verbal translation services for further discussions with their staff.
In Utah, parents/guardians have specific data privacy rights related to their child's educational records and information. These rights are protected by federal and state laws, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and Utah state regulations. Utah law also acknowledges a parent/guardian's primary role in the education of their children, and the vital supporting role of the public education system.
The USBE Parent Portal can be found at https://schools.utah.gov/parent/. There is also a link to the portal on the Uintah School District website, www.uintah.net, under the For Parents section.
