We’re excited to host the opening night of the Vernal Storytelling Festival right here at Vernal Middle School on Wednesday, March 18 at 6:30 PM!

Join us for an evening of incredible stories and performances featuring Sam Payne and Jasmin Cardenas. This is a wonderful opportunity for families and the community to come together and experience the power of storytelling.

Join us this evening at 7:00 PM for a night filled with music, talent, and school pride! Our amazing Band and Choir students have been working hard, and they are so excited to share their performances with you.

Vernal Middle School 6th grade art students in Ms. Collotzi’s class had a special visit today from guest beading artist Geraldina Selestewa, a member of the Ute Tribe.

As part of their study of Native American art from our region, students are creating their own beading projects and learning firsthand about local traditions. Mrs. Selestewa shared her knowledge about tanning hides, beading traditions, and Pow-Wow celebrations and dancing.

We are grateful to have such talented and knowledgeable artists in the Uintah Basin who help our students learn about the culture and history of the place we call home.

Vernal Middle School Hosts Successful Creative Arts Showcase

Vernal Middle School proudly hosted its Creative Arts Showcase, welcoming a full auditorium of families, friends, and community members. The evening highlighted the incredible talents and creativity of our students through a variety of performances and artistic presentations.

The strong community turnout made the event especially meaningful and demonstrated continued support for the arts at VMS. We are grateful to everyone who attended and helped make the night a memorable celebration of student achievement and creativity.

Vernal Middle School invites families and community members to our Creative Arts Showcase on Tuesday, December 17th at 6:00 PM in the school auditorium.

Students will share their creativity through a variety of performances and artistic displays, highlighting the talents and hard work of our creative arts programs. We would love for our community to join us in celebrating our students and their achievements.

Dear Parents, The Vernal Middle School’s College and Career Awareness program is providing a Reality Town activity for the 7th graders in our school. We have set Monday, May 19, 2025, as the day for our Reality Town experience, and WE NEED YOUR HELP! We need volunteers for the following simulated businesses: Bank Child Care Clothing Communications Dental Donations Entertainment Utilities Home Improvement Groceries Health/Grooming Housing Insurance (Car) Insurance (Health) Pet Shop LUE (Just My Luck) Medical Property Taxes Supplemental Income Transportation There will be a morning session from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. and an afternoon session from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. Please let us know if you can help. If you can share your full day with our students that would be greatly appreciated because having volunteers the entire day works best. Lunch will be provided for volunteers between sessions for those who stay all day. A half-day session would also be greatly appreciated, either morning or afternoon. We hope that you can participate with us. Your expertise is invaluable to our students. More information will follow for those volunteering to help.
