It's hard to believe, but the first Kindergarten Roundup for the 2026-2027 school year is less than two weeks away.
Some things to know about Kindergarten Roundup:
Kindergarten Roundup is optional.
The times listed for each school are a drop-in window. You and your child can come anytime during that time period.
This event helps schools estimate how many kindergarten students to expect next year. Schools may also do brief, basic activities to see how ready a child is for kindergarten.
The schedule for this year's Kindergarten Roundup is as follows:
Discovery Elementary - March 4, 9 a.m. to Noon, and March 5, Noon to 2 p.m.
Eagle View Elementary - April 2, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Ashley Elementary - April 14, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Davis Elementary - April 14 &15, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Maeser Elementary - April 16, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Naples Elementary - April 17, 9 a.m. to Noon (By Appointment Only - Call the school at 435-781-3150 for more info or to schedule a time), and April 17, 1:30 to 3 p.m. (No Appointment Needed)
Lapoint Elementary - April 24, 1 to 4 p.m.
In Utah, children must be 5 years old by Sept. 2 to qualify for kindergarten attendance.
Please bring the following items with you, as they are required for students to attend school: Birth Certificate; Proof of Residence; and Immunization Record - 5 DTP/DTaP/DT; 4 Polio; 2 Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR); 3 Hepatitis B; 2 Hepatitis A; and 2 Varicella (Chickenpox).
