On Thursday afternoon or Friday morning of each week, we will post a Weekly District Update. This is a summary of important happenings or key issues that are discussed each week during our USD Directors Meeting. Please read each of these updates thoroughly as they may contain time-sensitive information.

Due to our professional development day for teachers and staff, free grab-n-go meals will not be served on Monday, Sept. 28.

The district office is working to develop a protocol for school field trips. Factors being considered include the availability of bus drivers, areas approved for travel, and risk mitigation protocols for student and staff safety. Right now, the biggest challenge is the availability of bus drivers.

Guest presenters or speakers are allowed to come to our campuses, if teachers would like to schedule them, so long as the school's risk mitigation protocols are followed. Our campuses remain closed to volunteers. We look forward to being able to welcome volunteers back as soon as we can.

Information about COVID-19 can now be found on the district website, uintah.net, under a new "COVID-19" tab in the top right corner of the homepage. Press releases and updates can also be found now in the upper right corner of the homepage by clicking on the "News" tab.

The district published a brief explanation earlier this week of how it responds to allegations of staff misconduct. The district has also published a statement in response to Gov. Gary Herbert's comments on Thursday about his belief that a statewide mask mandate is unnecessary. You can find both articles under the "News" tab on the district website.
