Representatives from the Uintah School Board, the district office, Uintah High, BHI and VCBO Architecture were on-hand for the event. Student leaders of Uintah High's FFA chapter also participated.

"I want you students to know how proud we are of you," Uintah School Board President Dave Chivers told the FFA leadership. "What you're doing now in school and in FFA will help you become leaders in our community. This building is for you and for future Uintah High students."

In July, the school board voted unanimously to have BHI construct the Ag Sciences classroom building, which was designed by VCBO. After the board's vote Uintah Schools Superintendent Rick Woodford said the addition of the Ag Sciences building will help Uintah High continue to develop world-class agricultural education and FFA programs.

"This new, purpose-built space will provide our students with learning opportunities that will help inspire them to reach their full potential in agricultural sciences," Woodford said.

"Continuing to improve our educational offerings for those who will one day feed our community and our nation is one of the most important things our district can do," he added.

Work at the site, which is between Uintah High and Ashley Valley Education Center, is slated to begin Friday.
