Delayed start for Feb. 28, 2023

Due to poor road conditions and winter weather, all Uintah School District schools will begin two hours later than normal today, Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023.
The delayed start should allow state, county and city crews the time needed to plow roads and streets, making them safer for students and staff to get to school.
Under the district's delayed start protocol:
1. All schedules begin two (2) hours later than their normal start time. This includes work schedules for district employees.
2. Buses will arrive at bus stops two (2) hours later than usual. (For example, a regular bus pick-up time at 6:35 a.m. becomes an 8:35 a.m. pick-up time.)
3. Half-day kindergarten and Central Cove Preschool WON'T be held. Full-day kindergarten WILL be held.
4. School breakfast will be served as a grab-n-go meal in the classroom.
5. Dismissal of school in the afternoon will be at the regular time.
Should weather conditions worsen, the two-hour delay could be changed to school closure day. If online instruction is possible during a school closure, a makeup day will not be needed.
Please monitor local radio stations and/or the Uintah School District Facebook page for any updates or changes to the planned two-hour delay. The district will also use SchoolMessenger to contact students' families via text, call, and email to inform them of any updates or changes.
