UPDATE: Beginning Nov. 1, free curbside meals are only available for pickup at Ashley Elementary School. All children 18 and under can still receive free meals from Uintah School District, but they will only be served at Ashley Elementary.

*****

Uintah School District is participating in the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) food service program during the 2021-2022 school year under a waiver from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Meals will be provided FREE OF CHARGE to all children who are age 18 and under. Meals will be the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.

Even though school meals will be free through June 30, 2022, the district is asking parents/guardians to complete the free/reduced lunch application. Some types of school and community funding are based on the number of students who qualify for free/reduced lunch due to household income or participation in other state and federal programs.

The English version of the free/reduced school meal application can be found here: https://www.uintah.net/UserFiles/Servers/Server_765331/File/Departments/Foods/2022%20English%20Application%20.pdf

The Spanish version of the free/reduced school meal application can be found here: https://www.uintah.net/UserFiles/Servers/Server_765331/File/Departments/Foods/2022%20Spanish%20Application%20.pdf

The application for free/reduced school meals can be filled out at any time during the school year. Families are encouraged to apply whenever they experience a change in household income.

Students who attend a classes in-person can receive one free breakfast and one free lunch Monday through Friday at their respective school when school is in session. If a student wants to purchase just a milk, extra food items or an extra meal, they will be charged full price for those items.

The district will also be offering free curbside pick up for breakfast and lunch from all elementary schools Monday through Friday when school is in session. The district will NOT offer curbside pick up of meals from its secondary schools because we don't get enough participation in this service at these schools. Secondary-age students or their parent/guardian can pick up free curbside meals from any USD elementary school.

Parents/guardians need to sign up online for free curbside meals for their children just like last year. This will give our kitchen staff a count of how many meals they need to prepare.

The online order form can be found at: https://bit.ly/OrderCurbsideMeals
