Approval to Travel for Vernal Jr. High Drama
Club: A motion was made by Shane Frost to approve the
request from the Vernal Jr. High Drama Club to travel to
Approval of Site Plan for West-Side Elementary: A motion was made by Shane Frost to approve the site plan to build a new west-side elementary which will be 54,200 square feet and include: 16 classrooms, 3 Kindergarten classrooms, 2 computer labs, 2 resource rooms, one art room and one music room for an estimated cost of $14,696,700. Scott Ruppe seconded the motion. Those in favor: Scott Ruppe, Shane Frost, and JoAnn Cowan. Those opposed: Perry Taylor; motion carried.
Financial Audit Report: Robert Foley from the firm of Caldwell, Coombs, & Foley, LLC, presented the annual financial report for the period ending June 30, 2007.
Approval of CM/GC Bid for West-Side Elementary Construction Project: A motion was made by Shane Frost to approve a CM/GC bid as the bid method for the west-side elementary construction project, and that two School Board members sit on the selection committee for the general contractor. Scott Ruppe seconded the motion; motion carried unanimously.
