School Board Highlights

Recognition of Eagle View Elementary Staff:  Superintendent Charlie Nelson took a moment to express appreciation for the outstanding educational growth and improvement in the positive learning culture being built by the staff and administration at Eagle View Elementary.

 

Approval of 004.0200 Purchasing Policy:  (1^st & 2^nd Reading)  A motion was made by JoAnn Cowan to approve Policy 004.0200 as presented on first and second reading.  Allen Huber seconded the motion; motion carried unanimously.

 

Board Leeway:  Tabled.

 

Report on Ashley Elementary Class Sizes:  Superintendent Nelson reported that steps have been implemented for this school year to help alleviate the student overcrowding in the 3^rd and 5^th grades at Ashley Elementary.  The Superintendent will prepare a written report for the public and Board of Education.

 

Energy Management Presentation:  Kevin Dyreng, from Utah Controls, talked to the Board about an energy saving plan offered by Utah Controls.
