010.0300 USE OF SCHOOL EQUIPMENT

REVISES AND REPLACES 010.0300 USE OF SCHOOL PROPERTY (LAST APPROVED 9/10/87)

Materials, equipment, tools, and facilities which are purchased with School District funds are procured for the operation and maintenance programs of the Uintah School District and for the advancement of the educational system, not for personal use. The property of the School District may at the discretion of the department manager, be loaned in the event of an emergency other government entities, provided the following provisions are met:

(a) The use of equipment, materials, tools, or facilities shall be for period(s) of reasonable duration. Permission for use of school property is valid for the date(s) specified, the hour(s) specified, and for the use(s) specified.

(b) The use of the equipment, materials, tools, or facilities does not interfere, or foreseeably interfere, with school purposes or use.

RESTRICTIONS

1. The department manager may deny the use of school property if it reasonably determines that the use proposed by the applicant may damage the property.

2. The department manager may determine and designate a School District employee to operate the leased equipment.

3. The school or department loaning the equipment will assume financial responsibility for equipment removed from district property.

The other government entity assumes all liability for injuries, physical or otherwise, that may result from non-school, non commercial use.
