010.0100 BUILDING REVIEW BOARD

A building review board will be formed with the express intent of providing a voice from the local building industry in the decision-making process of the Uintah County Board of Education.

The major directive for the building review board will be to assist the Board by meeting with architects, building contractors, and reviewing blueprints prior to and during the construction phase of any building project.

The building review board will be made up of one representative from each of the following areas: 1) General Contracting; 2) Electrical Contracting; 3) Heating Contracting; 4) Plumbing Contracting; 5) Foundation Contracting (including sites). All council members will be appointed by the Board of Education upon recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools for two year terms. The Superintendent, with approval of the Board, will appoint a district staff member to act as an executive secretary of the group.
