009.0200 SCHOOL FOOD SERVICE GENERAL PROVISIONS

REVISES POLICY 009.0200 SCHOOL FOOD SERVICES (LAST APPROVED 10/17/85)

1.0 GENERAL STATEMENT

It is the policy of the Uintah School District Board of Education to provide a school breakfast and lunch programs which comply with federal and state regulations.

2.0 STUDENT PARTICIPATION

2.1. Meals shall be offered to all students who are enrolled in Uintah School District. Students who are members of households which meet the eligibility guidelines for free or reduced priced meals, as established by the federal government, will be served meals at no cost or at a reduced costs, according to the household’s eligibility.

2.2. Students who do not meet the eligibility guidelines for free or reduced price meals shall pay the regular meal price as approved by the school board.

3.0 ADULT PARTICIPATION

3.1. Any adult school employee may purchase meals at the regular adult price as approved by the school board.

3.2. Any adult visitor may purchase meals at the regular adult price as approved by the school board

4.0 MEALS PROVIDED OUTSIDE OF THE REGULAR SCHOOL MEAL SETTING

4.1. When meals or any other food items are provided for functions outside of the regular school meal setting, (such as banquets, PTA meetings, faculty meetings, and etc.), the amount charged will be no less than the cost of food, other supplies, and labor for the services provided.
