003.0200 THE
SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS
No person shall be eligible to hold the permanent position of Superintendent unless he or she meets the certification requirements of the Utah State Board of Education.
The Superintendent of Schools is held accountable to the Board for all aspects of administering the school system, except as otherwise prescribed by law. It is expected that he or she will delegate portions of that responsibility to principals and other personnel, preferably under written assignments, but the responsibility for the performance of staff members is not considered delegable.
