- Longevity Steps – Feb. 1, 2012
Longevity steps for employees are designated on the employee salary schedules.
Employees will qualify for longevity step by either:
Number of years of service in Uintah School District or; Salary step placement as designated in the district personnel system.
Employees should notify the Human Resource Office in writing no later than February 1st of the year prior to becoming eligible for the longevity step. There is no guarantee that employees will be granted salary step increases for 2012-2013.
- Boundary Change Requests – Feb. 17, 2012 – submit to Kevin Dickson.
- Lane Change Application - March 1, 2012 – submit to Lee Gagon. Form is on the district web site – www.uintah.net, District Info, District Forms, Miscellaneous Forms, Lane Change Application Form. There is no guarantee that employees will be granted lane changes for 2012-2013.

- Level 1 to Level 2 License – April 16, 2012. All required forms will be completed during portfolio review sessions in April. Instructions for upgrading from a Level I to a Level 2 license will be communicated in early spring.
- Level II or III Educator License Online Renewal - June 30, 2012. Notices have been sent to all teachers whose Level II or III license expires in June, 2012. Educators must complete an online Ethics Review, and a fingerprint background check must clear before the license can be renewed. Go to www.utah.gov/teachers, to begin the Ethics Review and background check process and to then renew online; the paper renewal process is no longer available.
Uintah School District licensed educators who have been assigned to positions for which they are not USOE- or NCLB-highly qualified should submit application requesting financial assistance to Lee Gagon at the district office by the deadline and prior to enrolling in the class(es) or registering for Praxis test(s). Assistance is available only if courses are required by the district or to become USOE- or NCLB-Highly Qualified. Form is on the district web site – www.uintah.net, District Info, District Forms, Miscellaneous Forms, Educational Assistance-Application. Approval of applications is subject to the availability of funds, with the maximum assistance per qualifying applicant limited to $2,000 per fiscal year. Financial assistance may be requested for applicable tuition, books, class fees, and testing fees (once per certification area). More information will be sent later regarding potential educational financial assistance for paraprofessionals seeking – or wishing to seek – an education-related degree through USU-Uintah Basin. We do not yet know whether or not funding will be available to continue providing this assistance. The Impact Mitigation/Mineral Lease Board is scheduled to meet in late January, and we should know more after then.
